Hi there. I'm 19. Female. Asian. Call me Mimi.

Berroca Supplement

Taking sufficient amount of vitamins a day has been very essential especially nowadays wherein we encounter different people and a nasty environment. Vitamins had been an effective way to keep us protected with viruses like common colds and flu. But how sure we are with what we take? I suppose everyone tends to make a careful choice for the sake of their health. Berroca is one of the must effective supplements I’ve encountered as I see a lot of good reviews about it. Claiming as number one source of ascorbic acid (vitamin c) in the world, Berroca has touched millions of people giving them a boost of immunity.

Berocca is an effervescent soluble tablet that contains a wide selection of crucial vitamins and minerals that should keep you healthy and energetic while keeping your immune system high too. The impressive list of ingredients are: vitamin C, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, folacin, vitamin B12, biotin, pantothenic acid, calcium, magnesium and zinc – many of which in doses significantly larger than the RDA (recommended daily allowance) but always within the upper-safe region. This does however mean that you need to watch what other supplements you’re taking if any, and keep an eye on your diet as overdosing in vitamins and minerals can be a problem although it is largely reversible. Overdosing in vitamin B6 for example can cause nerve damage while overdosing in calcium can cause aching joints. Both can cause kidney stones… and no one wants that.

The supplement is by no means essential and many doctors advise against them as a cheap marketing ploy – the idea being that you can get most of these ingredients through a balanced and healthy diet. The problem with that is that a) most of us don’t get all these vitamins through our diet, b) those engaging in a lot of strenuous activity require more and c) taking these will make you feel healthier and more energetic than almost any other single supplement. In the wild we would have eaten mostly nuts, berries, fruits and vegetables while we tracked prey for protein – that’s why the recommendation for eating fruit and veg should really be closer to seven than the currently advised five. For these reasons it’s still a worthwhile purchase, despite the fairly hefty price tag, despite nay-sayers advising otherwise.

The two ingredients in the highest volumes are vitamins C and B. The purpose of vitamin C is several fold, with it’s most famous role being to protect individuals against colds and other viruses by boosting the immune system. This obviously has hundreds of benefits, not least meaning you don’t spend summer days in bed with a sniffle, but also leading you to feel healthier and more energetic the rest of the time. Additionally vitamin C is an antioxidant meaning it helps protect against the cell walls becoming damaged by free radicals (in essence you essentially ‘rust’ over time as your cells oxidise). This makes it great for prolonging life spans and protecting against unwanted mutations of the cells such as cancer. Vitamin B meanwhile helps extract the energy from carbohydrates making Berocca a great pick me up.

The other ingredients have a long list of benefits, with calcium being good for muscle contractions, bones and tendons; zinc being good for your sense of smell and testosterone production; thiamine improving oxidative energy; biotin improving the utilisation of amino acids; riboflavin burning carbs; magnesium improving strength… the list goes on.

The only downsides are the taste and the price, but if you can get used to the price you can certainly get used to the taste.

Bayer Berocca is also well packaged, well marketed product, but the actual core product isn’t much different from others out there. The only real difference is that it has massive RDA%’s for some of the vitamins you should take, which I guess is a good thing.

Berocca was originally manufactured by Roche Pharmaceuticals, but is now manufactured by Bayer after Bayer’s global acquisition of Roche Consumer Health in January 2005. It comes in three flavours, Orange, Mixed Berries and Tropical. The said vitamin contains the said ingredients.

Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. - Video game publisher and distributor (group 5)

Our world is indeed technology dependent for several decades—from the birth of simple machines, to binary models of computer systems, and to complicated ones. People had been counting into these digital stuff for information and leisure as well.

Every medium had been technologically connected—media and technology is always together. TV sets and radio runs upon a circuit inside it that interpret signals into sound waves that we hear on radio speakers and images that we see into TV monitors. Even computers on its motherboard and central processing unit with its specifications, so are video game consoles that runs as how we click and press it.

Video games are mainly used for entertainment to satisfy ones content—on how he or she wanted to use the specific video game. Yes, it is informative in the sense that there are educational types of games in other categories, but this medium is literally for “playing” since it is a video “game”.

Video games are responsive and interactive unlike any other media system. Consoles respond to operations and keys like up, down, left and right as pressed by the gamer or user of the tool. It is indeed more complicated than other medium that’s why its a bit costly compared to those.

On the other hand, video games have a very wide range of genres per type of game. There are these main three types—casual, educational and serious. Those games fall under the casual types could be role playing games, rhythm games, fighting games, action, shooter, action adventure, simulation and strategic games.

Educational ones are those games that aim for additional information – a bit strategic and less-time consuming. They are usually the board games we play put into a gaming console – or those games that promotes correct grammar, science trivia and the like.

Serious are bit tricky since it is the combination of both serious games can be played as a role-playing game (casual), but promotes standards for good moral (educational). MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) are essentially under serious games for it is more complicated than RPGs. MMOs are also played of every player of it, in different locations but at the same time.

Video games are made by several geniuses of the planet who get paid and distributed by large companies. Sometimes it’s not just an individual, but hundreds of them who work for only one game since it really takes time for programming, 3-D modeling/scaling, animation, cinematic scenes and other special effects to finish top of the class graphics. Just like the Final Fantasy series which have gone far throughout the globe, not only for a very fun gameplay but with the superb layout of characters, maps and other details.

Without moving away too far from the subject, video games are developed and distributed across the seas by companies and what am I want to discuss is the company behind the series’  Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Quest – Square Enix holdings Co. Ltd.

Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japanese video game, publisher and distribution company best known for its role-playing video game franchises, which include the Final Fantasy series, the Dragon Quest series, and the action-RPG Kingdom Hearts series. Its headquarters are located in the Shinjuku Bunka Quint Building in Yoyogi, Shibuya, Tokyo.

The original Square Enix was formed as the result of a merger between Square Co. and the Enix Corporation. The merger occurred on April 1, 2003, with Square stockholders receiving 0.85 shares of stock in the new company compared to Enix stockholders receiving a one-to-one trade. Enix was the surviving company of the merger. At the time, 80% of Square Enix staff were made up of former Square Co. employees. As part of the merger, many of the top officials within Square Co. assumed the leadership roles in the new corporate hierarchy, including President Yoichi Wada, who was appointed president of the corporation. The original founder of Enix, Yasuhiro Fukushima, is currently the honorary chairman and largest shareholder of the corporation.

The company also owns Taito Corporation and former game publisher Eidos Interactive, which has been absorbed into Square Enix Europe. Square Enix now publishes all of Eidos’ IPs and runs Eidos’ development studios. Eidos was most well known for publishing Tomb Raider,Hitman, Deus Ex, Thief, Legacy of Kain and the Championship Manager series of games.
